A day in the Scottish Hills

There are gaps in a model shoot when a photographer doesn’t rest, he goes exploring… the thing is I could have spent an entire day in 200 square feet of the Scottish Hills… Oh, a But and Ben is a two-roomed cottage, one room is a living room, kitchen and dining room the But, and the…

Zombie MacZombie

I’m sorting through 2008 shortlisted images for my portfolio and came across Zombie MacZombie. In October 2010 I spent some time in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow  being treated to a glorious spectacle, the Glasgow Zombie Walk… it wasn’t an organised affair, it was like minded people who thought it’d be fun to dress as Zombies…

The Fiona and Ashleigh Photo shoot

The Fiona and Ashleigh Photoshoot Fiona and Ashleigh wanted a photoshoot and who am I to resist getting out and spending time with Bertha… What started as a cold and grey day turned into an amazing day, so we stayed away from the Loch, and water, and headed into the hills… Muirshiel Country Park… there…

Sam I Am

Having been busy with Uni ‘stuff’ I felt I had not got out and about with Bertha (I name my camera… and you don’t?) So when Sam asked if I would like to go shoot her I thought it’s a bright day… really bright and it’s about midday so it wasn’t going to get much…

The lonely tree

Give me a six pack!!!

He said give me a six pack on Photoshop ..  When it came to modelling he was damned good for his first time… nerves disappeared and enthusiasm mounted… in the end we both had fun… I never Photoshopped him but I did adjust the levels and sharpened a little to highlight what was there – the first set are…

Some Fashion – Editorial Style

I’m reviewing older images to get an idea behind who I am… I’m about to embark on a somewhat important project in Street Photography. As a result I’m looking at the different genres that brought me to where I am just now. Anyone who’s a photographer will know that there is never the perfect image,…

The Old Cobblestones!

Thanks to “austerity” and the general incompetence of putting politicians in charge of business centres, the town no longer has the same shops… I’m going back in to do a before and after shoot… I’ll post here when it’s done!

A little bit of me!

It’s me being narcissistic… I, like so many people, dislike my photo being created but a friend of mine captured me perfectly… I don’t have a beard any more… I only grew it for 5 weeks for a shoot!

Concrete and grass!

I live in a concrete jungle… I often wonder who taught the planners and architects who design schemes, I’m pretty sure they used to design industrial estates or farm buildings… but the two things I love is to find nature taking back what is rightly it’s territory and when you force people into this habitation…
